Cuervo y Sobrinos

Mille Miglia 2011

The 84th Edition of the historical 1000 Miglia race ended on 15 May 2011: "The best race in the world". Marzio Villa, Chairman of Cuervo y Sobrinos came in at 91st place with his 1955 ACE.
Once again this year, Cuervo y Sobrinos was the protagonist at Piazza della Loggia, hosting each competitor at is stand, where, in a typically Caribbean-Latin atmosphere, it offered a classic Mojito prepared by the experienced hands of a Cuban barman.
In this context, happy and elegant, each participant left a sign which shall remain written in history. Indeed, the signatures of all the competitors were collected on two splendid boards depicting the ""Cuervo y Sobrinos writing instrument"" using which the ""greats"" write their story. It is an honour for Cuervo y Sobrinos to keep these pieces, definable as unique to date, at its premises located in the splendid lake of Lugano.
Cuervo y Sobrinos holds a close and important relationship with this prestigious competition, purposefully creating a range of writing articles named "Mille Miglia". A limited set of 1609 pieces ( =1000 Miles) divided into 1000 Roller pens and 609 Fountain Pens, able to offer a sense of luxury, sportiness and uniqueness typical of the Brand.
Those requesting so have had their race number engraved on the finely worked body by master craftsmen, strictly "Made in Italy".
A grand award ceremony took place on 15 May 2011 in the prestigious Mille Miglia Museum, archive of the history of the "best race in the world". On this occasions awarded two Cuervo y Sobrinos Mille Miglia Edition pens were
THE YOUNGEST TEAM formed of Michele Cibaldi and Andrea Costa, who raced in a 1948 Gilco Fiat 1100, in eleventh place in the final classification and the BRESCIAN TEAM formed of Bruno and Carlo Ferrari, on board a 1927 Bugatti Type 37, arriving in second place in the general classification.
