Cuervo y Sobrinos' Tourbillon is part of a very tight circle of masterpieces labelled as world first. Effectively in this model, all the hands, as also the Tourbillon cage depicting the emblem of the continuously rotating brand, were manufactured in ultra light silicon. The evident advantage apart from the extremely pleasant and original aesthetics is how hard and light this material is. Such realisation required intense research and optimisation work (especially in order to guarantee that the Cuervo emblem applied on the Tourbillon cage rotates perfectly) by our master watchmakers who collaborated for the occasion with experts in the manufacture of that which is considered by many experts and aficionados as the world's "most complicated mechanism".
This masterpiece was produced in a very limited series of 8 pieces underlining, if such were necessary, that rareness is an essential component of true luxury.
The face, which is built in solid gold 750, is animated by a fascinating play of circular lines. The hands and the brand emblem outline the magnificently blue coloured face recalling the Caribbean sea, the cradle of the brand created in Havana way back in 1882. Another detail characterise by Tourbillon: engraved on the plate is the portrait of don Ramón Cuervo, the founder of "La casa", the boutique created in 1882 in Havana.
