The story
San Cristóbal de La Habana was founded on the 16th November 1519. Today, the city is better known as Havana, the capital of Cuba, a place synonymous with fine cigars, rum and glamorous cars from a bygone age. In 2019, Havana has celebrate its 500th anniversary (1519-2019).
Breguet-style hour and minute hands circumnavigate the dial, clearly articulating the time. Each hour is denoted with an applied tapering baton, guiding the wearer’s eyes to the fulcrum of the dial.
Landeron
An ornate, guilloche decoration enlivens the rotating disc, imbuing the dial’s surface with a rich, sumptuous texture. The golden key adorning the disc is inspired by the ‘Key of the New World’ which can be seen on Cuba’s coat of arms.
