It’s been a great weekend for the Swiss Race Driver Lucas Ayrton Mauron, with two pole positions and two clear victories in Zolder, Belgium, during the new DTM Trophy.
Lucas has managed the hat-trick: pole position, fastest lap and the race win. Finally, after many disappointments due to engine failures and crashes he made it. The 22-year-old driver from St.Gallen won with his GT4 Audi R8 LMS on a highly competitive race weekend.
In Saturday’s race Lucas lost two places after taking pole, but was able to catch up in the last ten minutes, securing the victory.
On Sunday, he dominated the race being on pole position the whoel race, a clear start-finish performance with a final lead of over 6 seconds over the second-placed Polish driver Jan Kisiel.
"After a few setbacks it finally worked out. The car was perfectly prepared and the whole team did an excellent job" - Lucas Ayrton Mauron.
To be continued on 6-8 November for the last race weekend of this series which will take place at the Hockenheim Ring in Germany.
