Cuervo y Sobrinos proudly unveils the Chronograph Emilio Carranza, a bold restyling of its earlier tribute to one of Mexico’s most celebrated aviation pioneers.

The Chronograph Emilio Carranza brings history to life through a design inspired by 1920s cockpit instruments.

The black dial features cream Super-LumiNova® coated indices, a refined applied CyS emblem with red accents, and an engraved airplane motif at 9 o’clock—a direct reference to Carranza’s aircraft.

One of the most unique features is the helix-shaped small seconds hand, which mimics a spinning aircraft propeller.

Remembered as the “Lindbergh of Mexico,” Carranza captivated two nations with his fearless transnational missions. Among them was his historic goodwill flight from New York to Mexico in 1928—a journey that ended in tragedy but left an enduring mark on aviation history.

This subtle design cue, along with vintage-toned chronograph subdials and luminous hands, reinforces the aviation theme while offering excellent readability.
