The story
The inaugural Cuban Grand Prix, the Gran Premio de Cuba was held in 1957. The race threaded its way through the grand avenues and vibrant esplanade of Malecón, north of Havana.
When driving a car in the heat of competition, the dial must impart meaning efficiently. It is for this reason that Cuervo y Sobrinos has chosen to employ fulsome, cream Arabic numerals to intelligibly convey meaning. The hour markers are treated with Super-LumiNova, enhancing readability in dim light.
